SCAP FACTS Hire Your Full-Time Entry Level Employees Through SCAP The Greater Stockton of Chamber is in need of 20 entry-level (at-least 32-hrs per week) clerical, front desk and receptionist positions. In addition, we are in need of manufacturing and warehousing positions as well. We have many potential employees for your consideration through the Stockton Chamber Apprenticeship Program (SCAP). WHY USE SCAP? Chamber Benefit Program Since the apprentices are not employees and training is non-paid, all WORKERS COMPENSATION is covered through our public sector partners. This translates into a huge cost savings for the participating employers. In addition, certain federal and state tax benefits may apply to each apprentice hired through our program. By hiring through SCAP, employers are eligible to take advantage of additional existing benefits offered by Human Services Agency and WorkNet. BENEFIT OF USING SCAP Reduce human resource costs by
interviewing candidates pre-screened for employment readiness. Reduce payroll and benefit costs
by evaluating and training SCAP participants before hiring. Reduce turnover costs by hiring
employees prepared for employment through the Employment Preparation
Program.
