What is SCAP?

SCAP stands for the Stockton Chamber Apprenticeship Program. SCAP is required activity for all clients who are referred to SCAP by their case manager. If your looking for employment then you have come to the right place.

Am I Eligible?

To be eligible you must be on CalWORKs and to enter our program you must be referred by your case worker. If you are not referred with a SCAP referral we can not work with you. All you have to do is ask your case worker about SCAP and ask if  you may be referred.

What's the difference between an Apprenticeship and a Direct Hire?

The Apprenticeship is an up to four week NON-PAID work experience opportunity. Four weeks only if the employer has a specified training module in place and two weeks for other apprenticeships. Once your in the Apprenticeship all you have to do is a good job and the employer will make a hiring decision in your favor.

If your with CalWORKs, Center for Employment Opportunities, El Concilio, Charter House or any other eligible case agency you may ask your case manger about SCAP. You may also call SCAP using the below information for further information.
